If you had sons would you allow them to play with dolls? Why or why not?
Why is it fine for girls to play with cars and not boys with dolls?
Why is the mom so confused and upset about this?
If I had sons I would allow them to play with dolls because we have no right to meddle in to our child's affairs and besides it is good to be diverse and have a variety of options to play with when they are bored and that it is not right to be sexist. I do not know why boys play with action figures and it is fine but when a boy plays with a doll it is just wrong dolls and basically a doll and a action figure are the same. So everything would be fixed if the Rapunzel doll was called a Rapunzel action figure.
I have never seen a girl play with a car so I can't answer and it is not fine for the boys to play with a doll because in our point of view we think that being a boy means to play with cars and toy guns or something masculine but when we see that a boy is playing with a doll we think the boy is a sissy and feminine so we think differently of boys when they play with a doll so thats why it is not fine for boys to play with a doll.
The mom is so confused and upset about her son wanting a doll because her husband will not allow his own son to have one because he thinks playing with dolls is for girls and won't accept it. But then again the mother thinks that all toys should be for boys and girls to play so she buys Lucas the Rapunzel doll.
